ProAct extended supply chain solutions rely on the ability to execute supply chain processes of unlimited complexity and granularity. Facilitating this at the heart of ProAct's technology is its process execution engine. This allows an end-user to populate the solution with multiple supply chain processes each with multiple decision points. Users also have the capability  to model process options, configure events, associate sub-tasks, dynamically plan or re-plan processes, project and predict effect and also determine and disseminate consequence at both local and global levels. All this is provided in a highly collaborative supply chain environment where considerations of cost, capacity and availability may be managed automatically.

More complex, higher volume supply chains can only be effectively controlled if they are managed by exception. The task of actively managing such a supply chain can quickly become too difficult, resource intensive and ultimately ineffective. This is a solution therefore, that can make its own decisions in response to a continually changing environment and automatically notify other supply chain participants of the effect. This leaves the user to manage and resolve only the exceptions that the solution raises, in the form of alerts.
