A small, but well-established sector, ProAct's solution has been operated by Her Majesty's Prison Service, supply and transport for over 15 years. This rather unique application deals with the warehouse storage and supply of goods and raw materials to UK 'establishments' otherwise known as prisons. Anything required for the running of a small community may be found in the distribution centre from beds and stationary, rolls of cloth to toilet rolls and sewing machines to garden sheds. Even prisoners personal belongings are held in controlled sealed containers with periodic 'access and return' available to each inmate. Security is one of the key issues in this environment ensuring that potentially dangerous items are handled and delivered in a secure manner. In a sector where predictability of demand might be assumed , reality is often anything but.
